I have some questions about something I want to do, but don't know if it's possible, or how to go about doing it, or even who could do it..

I've ordered and LS3 engine and I am looking to replace the engine covers with something a bit more personal. In fact, what I want are something like these http://www.autotecnica.com.au/aluminium-engine-cov... and then I would like them turned black. However, the thing is I would like an image and some writing embossed in to them and the embossing filled with a deep red laquer type of effect - think something like a very good quality nail varnish in texture/look.

Is it possible to do something like this that will survive on top of an engine? and also, who/what kind of service would I need to look for if I wanted to have this done?

Sorry, lots of questions but I have no idea where to start.

Believe it or not a decent engraving company could do this for you and there are dozens of great companies in and around Birmingham and within the jewellery quarter who are probably the best in the UK.
