Looks like a solid red from the red residue on the sunroof trim. No clearcoat. What car/age?

The red residue is colour-wax dust from me polishing the car before trying hot water so dont worry, its not overspray or anything. Its a 2010 Fire Opal Merc W204.

Water over damaged/lifting clear coat often makes it invisible. Did the marks stay away once the car was fully dried?
