New paint & old paint?

Just had a new spoiler fitted to my 5 year old Lotus. The brand new colour really doesn't match the older paint colour. I thought I could live with it when I collected it after the work, but I feel I can't.
What can be done?
Could I insist they re-did it & match the older paint? Is it a common problem & is there a solution at all?
