Just got the Barge looking shiny and swirl free and want to keep it that way.

Meguiars Quick Detailer any good? Never used it before and the idea of wiping dust off with a spray and cloth worries me - I can see swirls and scratches coming straight back.

Any thoughts? thumbup Cheers Chaps

As a product it is OK, not the best on the market but it will get rid of dust and fingermarks etc without any issues. A 6/10 overall in my book.

In my mind a QD spray should not be used for removing dust, etc.. more as an after-wash quick shine where the wax / sealant doesn't need topping-up if that makes sense...?

I use Dodo Basics of Bling QD and also Sonax Brilliant Shine QD which are both excellent in different ways, but only after a wash, even if it's only a quick hose-down.

"Dust" could be made up of anything so I would always get rid of it first, before I risk rubbing it into my car!

As above; using this to remove dust will knacker your paintwork nono

I use it as lube for claying and as a finishing off agent it's good stuff. But not a replacement for proper wax/polish work.

I think it is a good product, only use it after I have washed the car and in between waxes. Would not use it to remove dust off the car..
