High build primer to cover old paint/filler/metal etc?
Discussion
If old paint is still on there, maybe a coat of barcoat sealer would be advisable, save any aggro later on in job.

Don't even go there.http://www.alloypaints.com/isolate-it-rfu-paint-se...
That's a 1K product.
You want products that cure by chemical reaction not solvent evaporation.

But far safer for the OP to use, I'm guessing he doesn't have access to spray booths and air fed masks, which you really need when using 2k.
No you don't,there's plenty of masks available for non pros,3M's do one for 20 quid or so that's good for 20 hours worth of spraying 2KV8covin said:

Have you a link to the 3m mask, really interested in them, because as far as I know there is only one make of "throw away" mask, approved for 2k products and it's not made by 3m.I spend almost 10k a month with 3m and they tell me they don't recommend any of there masks for 2k use, heads will roll if you know otherwise.
I can't give you a link but at least 2 of my local suppliers stock them,I'll try and get a part number....I don't use them myself, maybe they aren't 3M but they are definitely sold as being for 2K.
The mask I use is a 3M one,it's more expensive and has replacement filters,if I remember I'll get the part number tomorrow.
I still stand by my advice about 1k 'barcoat'.In it's day when that was all there was I used it myself, but any 2K primer will be far superior.
Plenty of diy-ers spray 2k at home in their garages on an occasional basis by the way
ps just re-read your post quattro and you admit to knowing about a throwaway 2k mask so I don't see the big deal about recommeding 2k products to a non professional....assuming the op is that
