My mothers MK4 Golf has an old stain on the drivers seat which has been there since it was a year old, has anyone any suggestions of how to remove/products which could do it?

It's on the seat base which is black, what worries me is that it's black & therefore as it's old it might rub all colour out of the seat?

Any suggestions please?

Cheers

How about contacting a professional upholstery/carpet cleaner - no scrubbing involved in their process.

Have you tried the usual off-the-shelf products?

I had good results with Autoglym seat shampoo.

Thanks for the replies, over the years a variety of products have been used, just want some advice on any people have used which have been effective on old stains. Will try the autoglym ones - cheers
