I have a SIP 3hp 150 litre compressor but i'm starting to have doubts about how good it is,or doubting how good the manufacturer says it is,anyway,i've totally lost confidence in it,Guy local to me is selling one of these,an hvlp turbine spray system

Anybody used one?Main other thing that puts me off spraying with compressors is the moisture issues in the air lines.I have filters but compressor place nearby said you'll never really get rid of moisturE in thE lines, put me right off!!Are these turbine units any better in this respect,do they still produce moisture internally or are they a drier system by nature?Any info appreciated, thanks!!

I think you know a little more than you're letting on about.

Nope, went way over my head that one?? I thought you run most things off a compressor, didn't even know these things existed till a couple of days ago browsing gumtree.Just want to know if they have the same moisture problems, also like to know if they keep a steadier prsssure than my compressor, which fluctuates a lot.

The process of compressing air always produces moisture.
I guess there must be compressors that have a dryer bolted on them but the more usual thing is to run the compressed air through a separate dryer.

Buying a turbine system seems a tad excessive if your only worried about moisture, You could buy a dryer and attach it inline, or you could buy yourself a devilbiss whirlwind to do the job, cost about a tenner from Brown Bros.

Why don't you out a moisture trap on the base of your gun? Stops any airline moisture getting into the paint then.
