BJV wheel refurbishing
Discussion
Having decided to keep the trusted family barge (ye olde e39 525 sport touring) after toying with the idea of getting a cayenne and then and s6, i decided it was time to treat the less than glorious style 42 split rims to some tlc. they had started to show serious signs of corrosion and were generally looking very tatty.
nearest place to me was bjv. i know these guys get a mixed rep but id used them in the past for some porsche cup wheels to get them powder coated black so i went for it again because they did a good job
and glad i did! took their advice on the colours and told them i was not looking for a show car finish. although more than capable i could not justify the outlay given the market value of the car. picked them up the other week and was very happy with the service and finish and the price. applied a coat of fk1000p for good measure so the family barge is now looking decent again
many thanks to lindsey and phil and for those that have their doubts try them and make your own mind up. im glad i did and will post the pics from home when i dont have the battle the corporate firewall!
