Getting tape/glue residue off lexan windows
Discussion
I've made a bit of a boo-boo with my rally car. It has lexan (polycarb) windows and sliders - obviously the sliders are not exactly watertight.
As the car would be out in heavy rain for a night I used some masking tape to cover the apertures. Obviously now I'm left with a load of glue/residue on the windows.
Any ideas how to get it off? I know acetone is good for this but can it be used on lexan windows?

Well the naptha and WD40 didn't work. It did allow the glue to move around a bit but just smeared it all over other parts of the window
So perhaps I need to get a plastic scraper of some sort and try it that way - loosening the glue and scraping away.
Will pick up some of the sticky stuff remover from the 'Frauds too, thanks.

Try Ronsonol Lighter Fluid. If it's glue residue then apply fluid to cloth then rub in, if tape is still on the window then apply directly to the tape so it absorbs the fluid, then use your fingernail to scrap off.
Lighter Fluid is also good for getting off those 'illegal clamping stickers"!!!
Please test first though (disclaimer).
Good luck
