Stained leather from damp red carpet
Discussion
A plea for advice please?
I've a 1995 XJS with red carpets which have evidently been damp for a while. The rear seat base has a pinky/yellow stain which looks to have come through from underneath, I think through capillary action from where it meets the damp carpets.
Is there a solution to this?
I've researched the process for re-dyeing the leather, but before I take that drastic step, is there anything else to try?

the dye you paint on does a great job and is easy to use. I used liquid leather on an Jensen interior. I'd expect if the leather is stained any solvent to take the colour out will remove both the taint and then original colour.I've a 1995 XJS with red carpets which have evidently been damp for a while.
