Help! Best way to renovate my Mitsubishi paintwork?

I bought a new black Mitsubishi Grandis for our expanding family in 2005 & I've always thought that the paint finish appeared very soft & very easy to scratch. Even with a finger nail. Needless to say 9 years later the car has many light scratches all over it which really take that well looked after look away. I can T cut it & re-polish the panels with Autoglim Resin polish & it will look good for a couple of months then its back to the same old. It is as if the car was never finished correctly & I'm dealing with raw paintwork. My older M3 has received the same care & has a far superior finish with practically unblemished bodywork. I've just seen an American advert for 5 Star Shine (containing PTFE) & it looks like the cure I'm after. Does anyone have any experience of this problem or this product or any other solutions?

You might want to head over to detailingworld and see if there's anything recommended there, or perhaps sign up and ask the question; those boys know their stuff when it comes to that sort of thing!

Resin polish is just that, it offers pretty much no protection.

Use extra gloss protection and/or aqua wax after polishing. Should stay nice for longer.
