Hi, I am a Newbie here. I do always join Forums for information relating to the Various Cars I have owned down the years. Currently a member of Mercedes Audi and Ford. This is the first site I have joined that relates to motoring in general.
Anyway, I do tend to look after my Cars and Vans with a regular clean or Jet Spray and a bit of Polish but not really in an extreme sense like Detailing Claying and the likes.
Anyway, I am soon taking Delivery of a '14 plate Ford Transit Custom, the New Shape. This is the first ever Vehicle I have purchased from New.
I wish to have the Front End Wrapped straight from the showroom, mainly for Stone Chip Protection and just wondered what the situation would be with regards to Cleaning with a Clear Gloss Wrap in place. Does the Wrap fade or loosen or discolour?
Obviously I will be starting to make a lot more effort in the Cleaning World as its a new Van and want to protect my "investment" so to speak but is there any Special requirements regarding Cleaning Materials that I should NOT use with a Wrap?
Have browsed Wrap Sites and Cleaning Sites but they have products to Sell so obviously don't explain any bad points.
Would like some proper experiences from ordinary Guys and Gals like myself.

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi Muffsy, I have a Porsche which I had wrapped (front valance only) four years ago when new. It has not faded at all (and it's on white car so any fading would be obvious). For the first year or two I used the cleaner supplied by the fitter but since then I have ben using normal polishes (autoglym). The Rapid Detailer product is particularly effective at getting rid of flies and such. I think you should avoid anything that you would not normally put on plastic. Otherwise no special care needed.

Thanks John, definitely gonna get a Wrap. Thinking of a 3M as some people swear by it.
After care (with Wrap in place) is supposed to be the tricky bit. I intend removing Wrap after 3 or 4 years according to manufacturers guides and have a new Wrap put n again but don't really want to go over the original Wrap with a Heatgun and damage the Paintwork. Have seen some removed on YouTube and I dont like the look of the Adhesive Wraps. Would much prefer the Soapy Water one.

HI Muffsy, mine cost £410. That covered the front bumper, door mirror housings, inside of door sills (the kick plates) plus the front of the rear wheel arches.

Ventureshield is 3M. You should have no problems with cleaning or removal in years to come. Make sure it's fitted by a reputable outfit.
