Tree Sap

Hello,

I've failed to clean tree-sap off my car and it's now proving very difficult to remove. Any advice on how to do that without damaging the paint work, would be appreciated.

WD40. Spray on, let the sap absorb it, then simply wipe off. Wash the area thoroughly afterwards.

WD-40. Wash and wax it afterward - never had any adverse effects.

I've no experience of using it to remove clay though, or how severe your problem is. The good thing with clay is that you can feel when all of the embedded debris is gone, as the clay stops making a noise and it starts sliding across the surface smoothly. You need to clean the area first with shampoo before using clay.
