Hycote paint - is it any good?

Hello Chaps & Chapesses,

I'm about to repair some small kerb marks in my Scircco's wheel.



The worst is the one at about 2 o'clock on the rim, which is through to the alloy.
The folk at the Scirocco forum recommend Mercedes-Benz Brilliant Silver as being
a good match. Question: is Hycote double acrylic a good paint. I'm looking at
getting a rattle can. I could also use a part-used if anyone's selling?

Any comments (preferably useful) gratefully received.
