Afternoon all
I've just picked up a set of wire wheels and they have been painted several times, its peeling off.

So i want to strip them before painting, sand blasting has got to be a nightmare on wire wheels, so im thinking i'll make myself a small chemical dip tank and do it myself.

Only question is... what chemical, and where from?? (UK)

I have read caustic soda can be used, but is this just for wood (IE water/oil based paints)

I can get you some, but financially it's not worth it for one job - it's somewhere around £120 - 130 for 25ltrs.
