Plastic chrome trim

Hoping somebody can help

I've just got a new (second hand) car

It's a 2011 mondeo and has plastic chrome around the windows and on the front bumper

It is pretty fainted and water marked

Having read online I've seen all sort of suggestions but have tried a few and none have worked

Any suggestions?
