How do you repair invisible leather?

Is there some kind of spray that makes it visible for a short time, maybe a bit like that pipe-freezing spray plumbers use?

A fking cat got into my XKR at the weekend and left three 1" claw scratches on the leather of the door card. I'd also be interested in finding out how well they could be repaired!

The Furniture Clinic repaired a scratch in the leather bolster caused by a zip. The leather was sanded, the scratch filled and the colour reapplied by airbrush and then the leather is resealed. It a franchise operation, with an excellent result. You can get a DIY repair kit, however it wasn't expensive to let the professionals do the job.

In a bout of sleeplessness last night I found this kit so I'm going to have a go repairing my door card myself:
