I've bought a daily snotter (V70) for £500 and it's in pretty good condition except for the roof which is covered in sap/resin/algae.
I've tried as many liquids (polishes, detergents etc.) to no avail. Can anyone suggest a way I can get this off?

Clay bar will shift it.

Have you already tried tar remover?

I`ve tried a lable remover which is supposed to be the same as tar remover. I'll dig out the clay bar at the weekend

A decent all purpose cleaner left to dwell for maybe 10 minutes and then a full wash. Then clay and possibly a polish afterwards and this will aggravate any residue and restore the paint / clear coat underneath. Then wax twice. It should look good afterwards.
