Spray for in-between washes - DIY???
Discussion
Hi,
I have picked up my new car earlier this week! It is a BMW 118D and it came with the guard x paint protection as part of the deal.
Every day since delivery I have been wiping it down (flies, dust, bird poo) with some water and a micro fibre cloth.
My plan is to leave a cloth in the car with a spray bottle to remove bird poo and such things immediately but unsure what to get?
Is there a DIY recipe I could use? Or would a bottle of water do the trick?
Thanks in advance

As I mentioned in the previous post the guardx is unlikely to be very good, basically it all depends on who applied it and being at a dealership it's unlikely to have been done correctly.
I wouldn't worry with wiping it down every day. Just get the hose on it once a week and use the 2 bucket method, a wash mitt and the bilthamber shampoo I recommended in the other thread.
I do keep a couple of microfibres and a bottle of meguiars quick detailer in the car but you do have to be careful not to scratch the car so I use it occasionally.

Stop doing that! It's pretty much the best way to swirl the paint. As above you should only be cleaning it with a through hose and two bucket approach. Bird poo is the exception but you need to make sure it's well soaked and don't rub it, if it needs rubbing you haven't soaked it enough. A saturated cloth can be good for this.
