I'm seeking advice please.

I'm looking to refurbish the side vents on my car which have chrome outer and black inserts.

Is there any easy to use, off the shelf, in a tin Chrome effect spray paints available?

If so what and where from?

Thanks.

Google search?
Couple of links at random. Never used it so can't advise if it's any good,

Aye, I googled but a lot of reviews aren't great especially the Halfords stuff, the Bosny might be worth investigating further.

Was hoping for some real user experience really, I can't afford to ruin them they're like hens teeth.

Are these parts metal or plastic?
You may be better finding a firm that can replate them instead of paint.
Link here from an older PH thread which might be of interest:

Interesting, thanks for that it's a possibility.

The bits are metal but are fiddly, just thought modern paint might be an option, perhaps not.

I have a 1950 BSA 650 - owned it since 1973.
Rebuilt it around 1990 & took tatty chromed bits to a local platers to be redone. Well worth what it cost & having kept them clean they're still in good order so that would be my approach.
Admittedly it doesn't get that much usage these days - usually nice days - but for several years after rebuild used daily to commute to & from work in all weathers.
