I'd like to spend a day cleaning my 'New' E39 BMW 523i Touring.

I've have a fair amount of basic Autoglym kit from when I had more time for this kind of fun a few years ago! Just like to refresh what order I should be doing the wash in. Don't really want to spend much on new products as I have so much stuff already. I'm aiming for a clean smart presentable 21 yr old BMW, I'm not worried about a glass like finish!

Interior - I have Gliptone Leather cleaner and conditioner for my classic cars. Could I use this on 21 year old BMW leather, or is the leather sealed? Maybe I'll just use the cleaner. Babywipes on the dashboard and shampoo / hoover the carpets.

I'll 'Rainex Anti Fog' the inside windows

Exterior order..

Clean wheels

Rinse bodywork

Pre Wash (AG shampoo)

Rinse

Wash (AG shampoo)

Clay (Bilt Hamber)

Rinse, towel dry.

Polish / Paint Renovator (AG SRP / AG Paint renovator)

Rinse, Dry

Wax. AG Extra Gloss Protection or AG Aqua Wax.

Tyre Dressing. (Megs)
Black trim (AG Bumper care)

Would I be better using the AG Extra Glass Protection or the Aqua Wax, I've not heard great thing about applying the EGP?
Should I look at buying a bottle of Iron remover? - Where in the process would that go?

The headlights are quite cloudy and yellowed. I spent a couple of hours with a drill and the Meguiars Headlight Restoration kit, but I didn't make a huge difference.

All thoughts appreciated!

I'd add some tar remover and fallout remover before claying, especially as you don't know when it was last done. The fallout remover will work on the wheels as well.

Defo use the Gliptone cleaner on the seats, I would probably use the conditioner afterwards as well

I have a bottle of tar remover, will use that. So you reckon it's worth getting a bottle of the fallout remover. Any brand recommendation? Thanks

If your anywhere near stockport you can have 500ml (free) if you want?

EGP is fine but wait for it to get warmer!
