Are ceramic coatings worth it?
Discussion
That's due to a) the coating being bad and b) the application being bad
Cquartz, Gtechniq, among some others do good sealants (most are very similar TBH) and once applied properly will last a realistic 18-24 months of daily driven protection.
I have Gtechniq CSL that I put on my car back in January last year and it still beads and self-cleans as strongly as it ever has.

I had mine done last summer after a full detail and would recommend. So easy to clean most of the dirt comes off with the jet wash, quick sponge and dry and it’s back to like when it left the detailers. Supposed to add a bit of protection from stonechips, people brushing past car etc to.

Hope you do not actually use a sponge.... !

Quite a big difference. A sponge is a sponge - by saying that I mean relatively coarse and no way of allowing dirt to be whisked away from the surface like a lambswool mitt.
I use those lambwool "polishing" mitts from Halfords and they are equally as good as any other mitt. I worked as a detailer for a while and still do a bit for friends and family so try a lot of stuff

They are now double sided :-)

Its a fantastic product.
But after a few years (if you keep it that long) what happens to it?
How will it be removed once it's not working fully? (Alas we see this as a Beading thing rather than the actual product failing).
So after 2 years or so, its on the car but not working as it should. To remove is either sanding and or machine polish.
If you dont know what it is, when it was done and how thick it is, then how do you know how to remove it without damaging the clear coat?
It's a problem with all LSP, it will still be on the car even if not working as it should.
For me thats an issue with the sealant over the wax as an LSP.
It's something that people forget about. After all, 2-3 years is along time and cars get sold on etc

Oh i would become a gyeon fan boy.
Stick with the products for that sealant.
Have a decent chat with the company who applied it for best products to keep it working at its best.
Then have a chat with gyeon as well.
Remember it will look like it has degraded/stopped working, when all that has happened is its "clogged up" and needs a good deep clean (think that the clogging is from things like usual road dirt, derv etc fumes, tree sap etc). Once fully cleaned it should last the full amount of time.
If you add things like a QD or top with a show wax, this will clog up the sealant, wont degrade it but will look like its not working to its best.
On the bright side, fully protected makes it very easy to clean, add on a water filter and dog dryer and your car should be washed and dried in an hour!
