GB magnet has bloomed paintwork
Discussion
Went to France last weekend, just cleaned the car and where the GB magnet was is a bleached/bloomed mark.
I have tried autoglym deep gloss, t cut colour restorer, black hole wax and even a hairdryer - nothing is touching it!
Its a vw t5, but had a new tailgate 18months ago when soneone ran into it. Its regularly 2bw and waxed with black hole.
The car was cleaned before the trip to dover, and before i put the magnet on i wiped over the area with a babywipe.
Any ideas how to sort? Or is it a respray job?

You know the blue strip on the plate means you didn't need a GB sticker, right?
Anyway, did you do the babywipe immediately before the magnet? I wonder if it's some trapped residue from that.

It happened on my daughters car with her 'P' plate, tried to polish it to no avail but after a week it magically disappeared on its own.
This, my dads a driving instructor and had a magnetic L plate on the bonnet for over a year. When he gave me the car there was a cloudy square on the bonnet. I tried polishing it but it wouldn't go. A couple of days later it disappeared. Gassing Station | Bodywork & Detailing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
