Touching up using tiny compressor and airgun

Hi all,

There’s a few very small areas on my race car need touching up - not much more than stone chip size.

Would it be possible to use the compressor and airbrush I use for scale modelling, decanting paint from an aerosol, and if so what should I use to thin the paint?
