Scratched windscreen

Hairline scratch on windscreen - grit or something in wiper must have caused it. Nail doesnt catch in it.
Im not buying one of those kits off the net and doing it myself will end in disaster
Not getting a new windscreen either from insurance. Long story short it will backfire in terms of renewal price etc I have been told it will be put down as a claim - I know its ridiculous
