12m on from buying a Karcher K4 for car washing only, it's only used once a week, it failed in February and went back after blowing a seal. It's blown again, so useless again. The cable is too short (I replaced this) and the handle never listen to what I have to say.... Oh and I have been careful not to turn the hose on to much and it has the right connectors.....

I am 12th in the que to speak to Karcher, anybody recommend a reasonable and descent pressure washer ?

Nilfisk are pretty good.

Key is keeping them away from any risk of frost.

Depending on which seal has blown its pretty easy and cheap to replace O rings if thats the issue.

Your better off with a cheap B&Q own brand one it will perform (and last) much longer than any Karcher they stock.

I bought a Nilfisk recently to replace my Karcher. Far better build quality and a metal pump. Keep an eye on Amazon as they sometimes have deals running.

Nilfisk. Had one for 8 years, been used and abused, never missed a beat. Had to replace a seal on the handgun which was all of 70p. Spares easy to get too.

For a one of job any of their domestic range will be fine, these days you seem to get much more for your money then with Karcher. I've got a £70 one from Argos which had been fine other than a failed pressure switch replaced under warranty, which actually resulted in a new machine.

However if you have a not and want to buy some nice kit, the advice I had a couple of years ago from Barlows who are the service agent for Nilfisk is:
C125 - Smallest that you can get proper spares for
E140 - Most common, used for their hire washers, etc.

If the model no's are out of date I'm sure Barlows in Manchester will oblige.

Another vote for Nilfisk here. Better quality kit.

Drop the cash and get a kranzle.

Had my k7 for coming upto 10 years now, thats alot of cars, weekends etc

So in long term its alot cheaper than numerous faulty cheap PW's.

I paid less than £50 for K2 18 months ago (Amazon sale, with patio cleaner head!)
Used weekly, no problems at all
Hozelok connector works well on mine

Another vote for Nilfisk. I bought my C120 at least ten years ago after it was recommended on here.
