I have a question for all you detailiers out there.

Do you "detail" your houses? For example, does your cooker look like it just came out of the showroom?

8 minutes in and it's already got down to this level.

The wife does polish up nice though...

Ah, I think I'm getting the picture now.

It's ok to spend hours cleaning and polishing an hoovering the car and even brag about it. But not a hope of admitting to taking the same care over doing the dishes or cleaning the cooker after the polished wife has cooked a lovely Sunday roast.

Ok, ill be the first to own up. I don't clean the car much, as I get depressed with all the marks on it (it's old, so it's not precious), but I do take the same care when cleaning or hoovering the house, as much as it is satisfying getting the car clean, the same applies to the cooker or the carpets in the house (not that I do them much either, but when I do, I do take care to do it properly).

Next...

(It's a bit like going to AA, you'll feel better for it smile )

My OH was brought up with a cleaner so isn't great on domestic cleaning either. frown

I had to explain how to lightly spritz the work surfaces with Cillit Bang Kitchen and letting it soak for a few minutes before folding a damp cleaning cloth into a square and using all eight sides to work the surfaces.
