2006 XK paintwork repair.
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I am after a bit of advice as to the potential cost of some paintwork on a 2006 Jaguar XK. the seller describes the situation as ‘four small blisters, approx. £2 coin sized’.
One of them can clearly be seen on the photo here, just behind the headlight. Assuming the others are about the same, what sort of money would it take to sort this?
Thanks in advance.

ETA actually, it can;t be seen clearly on this photo which I think must have been scaled down. It is just some bubbling, basicaly.

Bubbles usually indicate either rust (metal panels) corrosion (alloy panels) or water ingress (plastic/composite panels).
All can be repaired ……. but depending on where the defects are - not only will the panel with the damage require re-spraying (after the fix) but the adjoining panels might also needed to be blended in (more especially on a silver car)
For example damage on a silver wing might also include blending the paint into the bonnet, door and bumper ….. and for a half decent job you might expect around £200 per panel to be a fair price.

Thanks for the info. I think I will pass on this car, could easily be £1,000 of work I think...All can be repaired ……. but depending on where the defects are - not only will the panel with the damage require re-spraying (after the fix) but the adjoining panels might also needed to be blended in (more especially on a silver car)
