I’ve found the perfect spec, age, mileage car at a cracking price to use as my daily. It’s a 500bhp+ coupe. But it’s white. Been thinking for ages, not super keen on white, but it’s just right. Realistically how much is it to wrap a car to a decent standard? Not looking for anything lairy as it will need to blend in in the office car park.

A friend of mine has just wrapped his Scirocco. He’d never done it before so made a few mistakes along the way but it only cost him about £700 all in for good quality wrap, tools etc and he learned a new skill along the way. He’s a total perfectionist too so it’s not a bodge job. I helping him with some of it and it’s really not that hard if you take your time.

For a decent company to do a full car in one colour between £800 and £1200
Add a couple of hundred if you want the door shuts done etc.

I wouldn't do it yourself unless you had a lot of time and patience, although it's not "hard" you need to have a vague idea of what you're doing biggrin

Come on this is perfect for a YouTuber to comment.

I expect it'll come in for something decent £2k+ for a full wrap (why would you not do the door shuts unless it was for a car rally / trip)

This, in my experience

I doubt you’d get a decent job for circa £1k if another posted said the materials for Scirocco were around £700 without labour.

I’d say between £2k-£3k.

Really depends on the car, where you are and the wrap you want (matt/gloss flat colour/metallic/colour flip etc).

Perfectly possible to get it done for around a grand. It may even look brilliant when you pick it up. What it'll look like in 12 months time though is another thing. The reality is that anyone quoting less doesn't really know what they're doing.

Plenty of places you can cut corners with wraps - body prep, door furniture, material choice, application "cheats".

Get a price, ask them how they prep a car, what material they'll be using (exact spec, not just manufacturer), how they'll deal with difficult areas of the car (splitters, etc) and will they warranty their work. A good guy will be honest with you and let you know how you can legitimately expect to save a few quid and explain the areas you won't be able to skimp on.

Bit of a broad brush assumption, but I wouldn't advise you to go with anyone quoting less than £1500 to include door shuts.

£1400 - £2200 for a good one, using good materials and a reputable business

If you dont care about quality or workmanship, £1000 or less

Yeah if you go to Yiannimize.

Plenty of "normal" car wrappers charge much less than your range.

I have seen work of many up close as well, and it's good.
