Over last few months, the paint fading on both side wing mirror has gotten worse. Any ideas what’s causing, and more important how I can fix it to look new again?

Been quoted £100 to spray paint both sides at a body shop. Any DIY options?

I would have thought that would not be too difficult to mask up and spray with a satin black spray can. May be easier to remove the mirror before painting.
What car is it because £100 doesn’t sound too bad to spend on a valuable car and I can’t see a body shop doing a decent job for much less.

£5 aerosol and diy it , better if you can take them off and do it inside somewhere , otherwise cover up the car to stop overspray

£100 is a good price. Materials + their time, you won’t get it done cheaper.

That's a good price but a real easy DIY job.

Thanks- appreciate the responses.

On some USA forums- they speak about using a Mothers Back to Black liquid product - similar to this one I found on amazon

Ultimate Protectant Dash and Trim Restorer with Soft Foam Applicator Pad https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014UNCVX6/ref=cm_sw_r...

Any experience of using this on the exterior?

Trim restorer wont work on that.

The only fix is to put more paint on it. Easy DIY.

This is a pic taken a few seconds after rubbing a wet wipe on the area
