Matt black paint

My old shed of a Toyota camper is getting a second hand tailgate in the wrong colour.
The van is not worth the cost of new paint.

I have seen cars running around with hand painted matt black panels.
Anyone know the stuff to use?

I presume the majority it diy'ed are using rattle cans, any reasonable brand of automotive paint should be ok, youtube for videos on technique, but somewhere without wind, keep the distance away right, start moving before you start spraying, build it up in thin layer.
