Just thought I would share my opinions on this wax I purchased last year as I am really happy with it. I had seen a whole load of YouTube videos suggesting that this was a pretty decent wax for the money and wanted something for winter protection. I know this product has been out there for a long time in different forms, however for £18 a bottle (473ml), I think it does a terrific job..

I first applied this wax beginning of November, since I applied it, washing has become allot easier, especially with the build up of dirt/salt from the roads.. I have probably washed the car at least 8 times after application and it just beads so nicely and really still has a great depth of shine.

Used lots of different waxes of the years, which tend to fade or lose it's protection quite quickly, especially in winter driving, however this wax just seems to provide a great deal of protection. The bottle itself does need warming up to get into a liquid state and very easy to apply, I would suggest it is applied when the weather is +10 degrees.. I am by no means a professional detailer, or have any connection to the company, just very impressed with it..

I used to swear by this stuff, and had a lot of success with it on my grey mk2 mx5.

However i'm not sure if they changed the formular a couple years ago, or it just doesn't work as well on some paints than others, but it seems really greasy, and nigh on impossible to work with by hand now.

That said, it does last ages and bead well, great for sealing wheels also.

Thanks for the info.

I use Collinite 476 wax and really like it - any idea how the 845 wax differs?

The 845 can be made liquid to apply it much easier. I think 476 is more of a paste? As mentioned anything below 10 deg you would need to place the bottle in warm water to make it liquid. In terms of ingredients, not sure whether something has been added..

Thanks. The Collinite website says 845 is "a user-friendlier version of the No. 476s paste" and is "ideal for both small and large surface area jobs where lasting protection and timely job completion are desired, but hard buffing and frequent reapplication are not practical"

I've found 476 to be easier to remove than other waxes but it still needs a lot of effort - might give this one a go.
