Power washer recommendations: Sub £150.00
Discussion
Afternoon,
You find me in a serious sulk as my elderly Karcher 520M has just died after a prolonged slab cleaning session so it's time to replace it as it's now nigh on 15 years old and has been repaired several times before (leaks etc) but it's now just died, so I suspect something has burnt out.
I use it for the cars and general cleaning so need something of comparable spec, spec of said Karcher being:
120bar rated with a maximum of 130bar (?)
450l/h
2kw
It cam with one of those vario lances which was pretty feeble, so changed to a fixed lance said to give 130bar and it's much better and enough to deal with a couple of muddy cars and the patio so I'd want something of equal clout and I have a snow foam lance but can change the fitting if I was to change brands so that's not a biggie. I'm also not that fussed about patio cleaners and such like. I'm also not fussed about the ability to reduce pressure... maximum attack as I've never in 15yrs felt I ever wanted less power.
I had a look at the Titan washer Screwfix have listed and whilst it's also 130bar rated, some online videos (including one large lady reviewing it... WTF!) would perhaps suggest that the spray pattern is a narrow jet to achieve this and as the spray fans out, it seems to loose pressure much like my old, disregarded Karcher vario lance thing. Ideally I'd prefer a spray pattern that wasn't a jet as that's not much good.

Basically I could list and link to several units under the budget but it's a bit of a waste so hoping for some recommendations here as the ones I'm looking at, any supporting video online makes them look a bit feeble to be honest... whereas my current, now deceased Karcher is pretty powerful so I'm slightly worried I buy something and it's a bit rubbish be it quality and / or the spray pattern / power.
Cheers

Yup, just doing some reading but getting bogged down... plus there's so many different models available but most the sub £150 ones seem to be sort of 1500w / 110bar so perhaps could explain why they don't look too powerful in the supporting videos?
Also just found this:
https://www.aldi.co.uk/workzone-pressure-washer-2-...
Looks similar in design to the Titan one linked above, but seems to be far more powerful with a 2.2kw motor and 150bar with a 450l/h flow rate... plus £79.99 with a 3 year guarantee seems like fairly good value to me?
Just not sure the compatibility with off the shelf snow foam lances however.

Not really, I use mine for cleaning cars and patios. Does both with ease.
I think I'm perhaps just concerned that going to a lower rated motor / flow rate / working pressure will leave me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The current Karcher was pretty powerful, but it was also old and tired so perhaps what it said it was capable of wasn't actually what it was doing and thus a new, albeit lower rated machine may be as good or even better. But that's my dilemma... Thought i'd post in this thread, rather than starting my own, as its basically the same question...
Looking to spend about £100
Had decided on this nilfisk as it out specs the equivalent karcher, and they get a bit of love on here...

But then spotted this by Spear & Jackson
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7904996
It out specs the nilfisk, but has a few less accessories. Are they any good? I have never heard of the brand... Looking at argos because i can spend my nectar points there!

Can't exactly answer your question but the Spear & Jackson brand used to and probably still do make decent gardening tools, spades, forks etc.Looking to spend about £100
