My new to me Lotus Exige has PPF applied to the entire body and whilst it has undoubtedly kept it looking good over its 5 year life span there are a few bits I’m none too happy with. Nothing bad, just when cleaning the odd edge will pop out and look crap...
Does anybody have any real world experience in the removal of it? I’ve watched a couple of YouTube vids etc.
I’m really in two minds, keep it on and live with the odd flaw from up close or take it off, reapply a bonnet section and enjoy polishing the paintwork like I want to?!

Hot air gun. Don't go mad with the heat.
If you've never applied it successfully yourself I'd suggest you have a chat with a professional fitter as it's all too easy to get air bubbles/grit/dust etc trapped underneath.
YT videos are entertaining as an overview but that's about it.
If it's a trackday car I'd suggest having the film replaced - I have a customer who has a Porsche as a trackday car & he had an off into a gravel trap. Wheels looked like they'd had both barrels each but the film had prevented any paint damage to the body.
