DIY windscreen chip repairs

Hi all

I buy and sell a few cars so I'm looking for a cost effective way to deal with chips.

Are the eBay DIY windscreen repair kits any good?

You need quite a lot of pressure to successfully get the resin into the cracks. The DIY kits will work, to a degree, but you'll more than likely get an unsatisfactory repair more than a good one.
Another downside to DIY is, its very difficult to try to repair something that's already got resin in.
If your using a smart repairer for your cars, more than likely they will carry an esprit kit.
