MEGUIAR'S HYBRID CERAMIC WAX
Discussion
The words 'hybrid' & 'ceramic' will be familiar & strike a chord with most car enthusiasts & Meguair's have been very clever or maybe just devious by incorporating these two words to introduce a new product.
I have little faith that a ceramic coating can be applied from a bottle but am prepared to be persuaded otherwise by those with NO connection with Meguair's.

I checked out Amazon which sells the stuff & the readers reviews are lukewarm & report little difference to conventional waxes. In all fairness not carefully following the application instructions resulted in some complaints.
Think I'll give the stuff a miss - seems too much like a fashionable gimmick to me. After all Meguiars & their like could be promoting Vegan Sustainable Green Carbon-footprint Free Bio-degradable Diverse Lifestyle cleanser next !

I'm on my second bottle and I have to say I think it's an amazing product...it's way better than any polish I've used before.
I apply it slightly differently to the instructions though. I wash the car in the usual way, power wash it down, spray this stuff on the wet car and then go over it again with my wash mitt to spread it all over. I then power wash it again leaving a haze, and then finally dry it off with a drying towel.
Results are very impressive.

I bought a bottle from Halfords last week as they have it on offer £20.
I applied it dry rather than wet as instructed. Seemed to do well on my trip to Belgium last week. The rain beaded off instantly.
£20 is the regular price. Bargain considering how good it is.I applied it dry rather than wet as instructed. Seemed to do well on my trip to Belgium last week. The rain beaded off instantly.
When I first applied it I was a bit worried because it streaked like hell, but it was a warm day so it was drying out quickly. Since then, I just apply it to the wet car, rub it in and then power wash it off before drying it. Comes up a treat.
£20 is indeed the RRP. No doubt Halfords just raised the price so they could put it on sale.

Turtlewax have got one now too
I saw that https://youtu.be/iOHcchAB7-0It's only £6.02 at carparts4less, £4.82 after discount (use code MVC19 or weekend17), so I picked some up, along with a couple of wipers.

That's a very good price, lowest I saw was £8 on amazon, couldn't see on carparts4less, gotta link?
Not sure this works but try this link. https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/-/-/-/-/?55...

Yes just found it myself using the product code number trick It beats spending £16 on the Meguiars potion in Halfords, probably.
I was going to try the Fusso Coat Speed & Barrier spray after getting through my current batch of spray sealant, but I guess that'll have to wait now.
The only criticism of the Turtlewax stuff that I've seen is that it can get dusty. Apparently that's typical of anything with wax in it. The Fusso products are known for staying clean, so the Fusso spray probably won't have that issue.

It's £16 on amazon now too here. Not used it myself, but a bit sceptical of ceramic in a bottle..
I suspect they're getting scared people will switch to Turtle Wax hence dropping the price!I've just bought two bottles of the Turtle Wax stuff. If it's as good as the Meguires stuff (reviews seem to suggest it is) I'll be more than happy at that price.
Gone are the days when you have to spend hours applying polish/wax with a pad and buffing off! Anyone still doing that?

As of the weekend, yes, yet to find an alternative that produces a better shine. However this thread may change that....!I've just bought two bottles of the Turtle Wax stuff. If it's as good as the Meguires stuff (reviews seem to suggest it is) I'll be more than happy at that price.
