What can be done with my bonnet?

Hello all,
I have a 2004 Audi A3 with one of the worst bonnets you've ever seen. A number of years ago it received some deep scratches and I had it resprayed. From a (long!) distance it's not too bad but up close it's really looking its age and the lacquer is pretty much gone, as you can see from the pictures below.
I'm pretty sure the only answer to this is to have it resprayed but I thought I'd post here just in case somebody can offer a cheaper alternative.
If a respray is inevitable, can anyone recommend a good - but inexpensive - body shop in East Sussex? I'm based near Lewes but can reach most of the county fairly easily if someone is worth the drive.
