I was toying with having a change of paint colour on my car and have been quite taken by the Mazda 'Soul Red Crystal'. It seems it's a more complicated paint than most as there are various layers to it doing different things. Can you tell me whether wraps are advanced enough to give that kind of result or will it simply not achieve the look I'm after?

Some of the more expensive films do offer a broad spectrum of colours and more importantly in this case, effects. Many of which cannot be achieved with paint. Clearly the structure is vastly different to a multilayer paint approach though so depth is questionable.

Don’t wrap it I’ve seen loads of cars wrapped by some of the best guys. And In my opinion they all look complete gash ! It Just looks like you couldn’t afford a respray , just save a grand or so more an have it done properly with the colour you like

There’s that new Topaz Skin stuff that is basically paint sprayed over a wrap (I believe!), so presumably you can get the exact colour and finish of whatever paint you’d like.
