So, the front bumper of my "new" 420d was scratched on Saturday by a driver that didn't stop.
The car was parked in front of my house, I have the footage of the whole event but unfortunately the plate number is not readable.

Do you have a specialist to suggest in London SE? Do they repaint the whole bumper in these cases or there is some specific solution?

I've attached a picture of the damage.

First of all OP, sorry to see your car has been hit. That sucks especially as you haven't had it long!

Initially I'd suggest giving that a polish, even by hand as I suspect a lot of that will come out and it will look a lot better.

I can't comment on a bodyshop specifically I use one in Purley, Surrey which I like but not sure where in the South East you are.

I wouldn't imagine they would repaint the entire bumper, more likely blend it in where necessary with the surrounding paint.

Thanks for the moral support :-)!

I got a quote from a BMW dealer, he asked slightly below 600 GBP. Chipsaway about 200 GBP.

I also spoke with the dealer where I bought the car (multi brands) and he suggested to go ahead with a smart repair, avoid the full repaint.

Now I just need to find some recommendations on local smart repairer.
