I'm getting my wheels powder coated when I get my tyres changed in about a months time. Popped into the wheel place nextdoor to my usual tyre fitters to ask the process. He wants about a week and 350 for all 4 wheels (BMW 403m).

Price seems ok and I guess a week seems about right, but what's the general consensus on how to get to work etc during that week?
Do other places offer courtesy wheels etc?
Do I go and buy anything that'll fit off eBay for about 150 and sell them afterwards?
Does anyone have any recommendations of powder coating places in Liverpool / Lancashire?
Cheers

Don't know where you are in the country but to me that sounds expensive
Last time I had some powder coated it was £180 including refurbing the curb marks and removing and refitted tyre's

That seems cheap. I've been quoted 250 from 2 places for just the mask and spray approach which I'm not convinced will give the right result. I'm in Merseyside, between Liverpool and Southport

Interested, as I have 4 wheels that need a refurbish.
I have these as spare, so car will not be out of action.

The ones for refurbish. are 22 inch, 10 inch wide, so quite big.
They are diamond cut, but I wont be going the diamond cut route.
I prefer just a metallic grey powder coat, baked finish, as they will be on a black car, or a simple fix the defects, and a primer and spray.
For a normal, strip back to bare metal, undercoat, and spray, it was £200
For the back to bare metal, fix the chips, powder coat and bake, £360 for the 4.

That doesn't seem too bad for such big wheels.

Here's the voice of experience with a little tip or three.
I've had lots of powder coating done and after a few early
disappointments, this has worked every time.

Regardless of whether it's steel, alloy or whatever, have the bits blast cleaned first.

Tape over any male threads and ask the coater to re-tape just pre powder
But DO NOT lube the threads.

Have the parts etch primed pre coating.

Behold, bomb proof coated bits.
