I'm going to be restoring the headlights on my 06 civic using a 3M drill based kit and was wondering if anyone had a recommendations for a treatment after I've finished to help preserve the freshly refurbished plastic?

I don't really want to use a spray can if I can avoid it and am wondering if a good quality car wax will suffice?

Thank you

Collinite 845 is a pretty good wax/sealant for this type of thing.

No wax based finish has ever lasted for me - only long term success Ive had is sanding down plastic headlights (early-2000s Hella ones - always faded by the time they're 15 years old) and spraying with a polyurethane lacquer such as this:

If you put plenty of coats on you can then polish the lacquer to a crystal clear finish.
