Discoloured paint on older cars
Discussion
Some family members have older cars (around 15 to 20 years old) which have metallic paint. The cars aren't garaged, are used year-round, and aren't washed very regularly.
I don't have any pictures, so it's hard to describe, but parts of the paintwork have some lighter spots and lines (on the silver cars these look almost white). I'm not sure if they're in the lacquer, or in the paint itself. I can't feel any surface defects.
I'm just wondering what might have caused these, and if it's possible to remove them...
