Wheel centre bore sanding post refurb

Hi all, had a set of wheels refurbished and now the spigot ring won't slot in nicely. Assume just the new paint has made it a touch tight as not too far off. I could probably "persuade" it in, but figured sanding it would be the better option or else I'll probably never get it out again.

What's the best grade paper to use?
