Clearcoat peel repair for small area - Cayman

Wonder if I could please consult the collective PH bodywork wisdom..
I have a small (probably slightly larger than a 50p coin) size area of lacquer peeling on the side of my Cayman, which I presume may be the result of stone chip damage as this area of the car near the intakes/rear arches are particularly susceptible to them.
My question is whether this can be locally repaired (as in a small repair to the specific area) to a reasonable standard and life of repair?
I would be looking to a bodyshop to do this rather than doing myself. It would seem a shame to have to respray a large area for such a small defect especially as the rest of the paintwork is in generally very good condition and due to the nature of the panel sizes could be a big job.
