Home Detailing Aston Martin Paint (While self-isolating)

For any of you detailers (amateur or pro):
Wondering if I can get some input as to going about doing my first solo compound/polish on my Silver AM V8 Vantage S. Car is overall in great shape, but could use a minor refresh before (hopefully) some better weather comes around. (Living in the Pacific Northwest so we don't hold our breath for that).
Very confident in prepping and protecting the car, but wanted to check in to see your experiences with Aston's paint (which I have heard is quite soft).
Q1: Will my compound/polish be safe on it?
Q2: What would be a good set of 6" Pads (Foam or M.F) to use with the below setup?
I've got on-hand:
- A Random Orbital Polisher (6")
- Meguiar's Ultimate Compound + Ultimate Polish (UC -> UP).
Any info appreciated !
