Am I allowed to wash my car on my driveway? Assuming I might not be allowed under COVID-19 laws?

washed mine yesterday, no neighbours about , even if they were they’d be more than two metres away.

unless it’s a shared drive I can’t see an issue,

Most certainly not, you will be killed to death near instantly.

(Yes of course you are, just dont go french kissing Steve from next door. Common sense really is dead)

I'm led to believe you're only allowed to use one bucket.

Indeed, but don’t forget to cut out the two eye-holes.

Wash someone else’s for payment, and that becomes a business, but you are working from home, so that is OK.

Not when you have two young kids that will insist on helping out with a grit wash.

That's all I've been doing this week. Washing, waxing, sealing, tinkering with 4 cars. The Daihatsu Shed no longer makes any noise when the wind catches the loose undertray. An assortment of push in clips and cable ties has fixed it.

If your neighbours are in it then no. If they refuse to come out then I guess it's ok.

"You can do mine next"

"You've missed a bit"

Just because you might not have neighbours walking past.

Thanks - only asking as I’ve seen videos of police fining people for having a fag on their front door

Why are you assuming that?

I wouldn't. The guy next door got fined for doing that - think it was £400.

Stay indoors and never go out. I think you may be fined £50 for opening your window.

"(3) For the purposes of paragraph (1), the place where a person is living includes the premises where they live together with any garden, yard, passage, stair, garage, outhouse or other appurtenance of such premises"

Driveway not specifically mentioned, but it seems it would be regarded as an appurtenance in most cases.

Really? Source? If its Facebook, it didn't really happen.
