We live in the sticks, and have to use a borehole, which is unfiltered and high in minerals and salts etc - really soft stuff that is even worse than London water.

As a consequence, unless I rinse with rainwater from the waterbutt, the car looks like it was parked in a Pompeii side street or Mother Shipton's well.

I have seen a number of water filters, the best of which seems to be from Raceglaze, but it's a bit pricey. Has anyone used the in line filters or similar?

We also have bugger all water pressure just to make it all the more sporting.

Thanks

I live in Suffolk which has got really hard water, so water spots were a big problem.

I've got a DI Vessel setup now and love it.

I got mine from this place:

https://www.daqua.co.uk/divessels.htm

I've got the 15.4 litre version. I initially had just one vessel, but then upgraded to two of them in series which actually makes the use of resin more efficient in the long term.

The slight problem you might have is that they do reduce the water flow rate, so if you've already got very low pressure that may (or may not) be a problem.

I don't know if you ever go on the Detailingworld forum, but you'll find loads of information about DI vessels and setups if you do a search on there. smile
