How do i remove this?

we picked up this second hand car but we're having a real hard time removing the P signs off the car that was left stuck on there... and sadly its really stuck onto the bonnet, we afraid to try remove rest of it as already damaged a tiny bit of the laquar protection on one spot...i tried some sticky remover stuff from halfords but it hasn't helped at all

any ideas?

WD-40

Let it soak for a few mins rub with a soft cloth.

Repeat until gone

I'm not sure exactly what the stuff from Halfords is but try standard label remover, available in an aerosol from stationary shops..

Gummy off. Amazon, Lakeland’s sell it. I used it to remove stuck on number plate pads. I tried everything including wd-40. Still wouldn’t shift it.

Gummy off removed it in about 30 seconds.

Or save time and money and use the active ingredient in WD-40 that softens adhesive aka white spirit. WD-40 is just an expensive mixture of light oil, white spirit and fragrance.

That's the stuff you need. Just give it enough time to soak in.

Any sort of alcohol based spirit will work. Surgical spirit from Superdrug for example, nail varnish remover (acetone) - they will dissolve the adhesive.

Snowboard/ski base cleaner (citrus cleaner)...this stuff works like a charm to get any residue off basically anything.

I use it more around the house/car etc than i do to actually clean snowboard bases.

Sorry that’s the stuff. Must have remembered the name wrong. If it wasn’t so cheap to buy I have half a tub I would have given you for free but the postage cost is probably more than a tub from amazon.

If that’s not worked then I can’t really suggest anything else.

Heat will help too, get a hairdryer on it then some glue remover

It's based off kerosene not White spirt
