Hi just clay barred my car....followed the instructions ,plenty of lube side to side strokes etc....

Rinsed after doing it,dried it off andddd....streaks..all over ....

Any suggestions? used plenty of lube but def mottling of the paintwork...can't seem to wipe them off.Would the clay leave marks like that?..and any way of getting them off?.

Clay bars are abrasive. After every claying your car will need a polish of some level, depending on the abrasiveness of the clay used.

This is why you should never use clay without following up with an element of polishing, ideally by machine but can be done by hand if you have plenty of free time. This nugget of info is typically missing from the clay instructions 99% of the time.

This should be man enough to remove the marring inflicted -

No time constraints, the marring isn't going anywhere until you remove it.

Yes just wash, dry and use the polish - a little should go a long way & it may well take you a while by hand.

Argos have a dual action polisher for a tenner off at the moment. Seems to be a well respected entry level machine and for only £40 it’s not the end of the world if sits on the shelf for a while between attempts.

As above claying should be followed up by a bit of paintwork TLC, I use the Meguiars 3 stage stuff with a machine polisher, clean, polish and wax. For more stubborn stuff like bird ste damage etc Feracla G3 and G10, again followed by a decent polish and wax should do the trick
