Hi guys so I’m based in London area, I’ve had a few recommendations on decent car detailers, still not entirely sure who to give my hard earnt just wondering if anyone’s used either AWC detailing in Southend and DSR perfection in Slough area? Alternatively if any one has a recommendation please do pass on. I’m looking for either stage 1 or 2 machine polish and some sort of protection gtechniq etc.

Cheers

The cars is a dreaded black and it’s been briefly stage one before, no real swirl mark remain or major imperfections however the paint is just very flat and dull, doesn’t have that mirror effect that most black car owners desire

I'm considering Reflection detailing. He's in Essex, relatively new to it, but is Gyeon accredited and his work seems fine on insta.

Can’t go wrong with Nick at SL in Crawley. However, if you want it done at your home and have a garage, I’d be more than happy to help.

Rob Leys, Gleammachine in Thurrock. I’ve used him and his work is excellent. He gets a lot of repeat business and I haven’t seen anything other than positive reviews. The single downside, such as it is, is that he’s on the expensive side of average.

Maybe a thread revival but I bought a 6m old VW Tiguan (pearl black) from a VW dealership (with swirl marks and bird dropping marrings), I went with Bellissimoto in Bermondsey.

Had 2 stage polish and CSU Black applied. Based on the GTechniq pricing, it looked reasonable and the owner, Andrew, was great. They have an Instagram page (bellissimoto_detailing) if you want to see the kind of cars they work on. I’m very happy with the results of mine (only had it done in the last fortnight).

Thanks mate but works been done last week now smile also thanks for all the recommendations, I stuck with someone closer to home. I’m also in a VW golf R, the car was 3 years old when I bought from dealer last year the paint work was shocking, dealer masked it by Hiding over polish etc, the cars now been stage 2 machine polished and protected with gtechniq csl and evo x4, windows wheel faces etc protected in another gtechniq product. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I collected the car, I was too scared to touch it smile haha. Classic moment I called the mrs in to check it as she was sitting in her car after giving me a lift. What’s the dopey cow do, come in check the car and touch a stone chip on the bonnet and so oh that’s not been sorted, I was literally ready to nut her lol but yeah happy bunny, just got to sort my arsenal for mtce washes now

Andrew is on the expensive side I think.
Reflection in Basildon is decent. Won't get you the quality that a more established place might, bur Dan's a really nice chap, and for the price he charges I think it's really really good.
